Feature roadmap

Where Quantery is headed — what's being built right now and what's planned next. Statuses here are honest: nothing on this page is shipped yet, and the roadmap is direction, not a dated promise. Own the app? Your requests genuinely steer this list — see below.

  • Signed & notarized installers

    Apple notarization for macOS and Windows code signing are both underway (signing is already wired into our release pipeline, pending identity verification). Once live, the first-open Gatekeeper / SmartScreen extra step on the download page goes away.

  • Auto-updates on macOS

    Windows and Linux already update in-app. macOS auto-update is blocked on the signed builds above (unsigned macOS apps can't self-update) and ships as soon as signing lands.

  • Deeper documentation

    Expanded guides, a full thesis-spec reference, and worked examples — growing the getting-started docs into a proper manual.

Planned Coming soon

  • AI MCP server + thesis-building tools

    Tools that build a thesis from plain language — a statement (“profitable small caps under tangible book, down big, with cash to survive”), an existing strategy you already follow, or a formula — and convert that language into a quantitative screen you can run and backtest immediately. Exposed as an MCP server, so the AI assistant you already use can drive Quantery too. Uses your own AI keys, like everything else.

  • More options-data providers Integration coming soon

    The options-chain layer is becoming a pluggable interface with multiple backends — Tradier, Polygon, ORATS and others are under evaluation — so options history isn't tied to a single vendor. Alpha Vantage (chains back to 2008) is the one live today.

  • International & ADR fundamentals

    IFRS-aware fundamentals so ADRs and foreign filers screen as cleanly as US GAAP names do today.

  • Additional market-data providers Integration coming soon

    Alternative price/universe sources behind the same bring-your-own-keys provider interface, so you can pick the data vendor that fits your budget.

  • OS-keychain storage for API keys

    Your keys already never leave your machine; this moves them from a locked-down local file into the operating system's keychain (macOS Keychain / Windows DPAPI) for defense in depth.

  • Opt-in crash reporting

    A privacy-conscious, strictly opt-in way to send us crash details so bugs get fixed faster. Off by default, in keeping with the local-first design — your research data is never part of it.
